My Sleep Disorder - Video Clip 2

January 20, 2004

I have presented here a video clip of myself writing a note while asleep, on January 20, 2004.

The video clip has been cropped to remove potentially identifying details, and my face has been masked. I was a research subject of "alien abduction" researcher, Dr. David Jacobs, of Temple University, for a number of years, and in March 2004 I sent him a copy of the original video recording which was not cropped or masked, and a photocopy of the note.

While asleep, on January 20, 2004, I reached for a piece of
paper and a pen that were on my bed, and wrote a note.

My Sleep Disorder

I engage in a range of complex behaviors while asleep, and I appear to meet The American Sleep Disorders Association's minimum criteria for a diagnosis of REM Sleep Behavior Disorder.

Writing the Note in My Sleep on January 20, 2004

On January 20, 2004, I went to bed at 2:05 a.m..

At 4:45 a.m., I am seen on the video recording writing a note on a piece of paper that I had on my bed. I wrote a single word:

"OPEN!!"

I underlined the word twice.

I think that I have a very faint memory of writing the note, and of looking towards the door, so I may have started to wake up briefly as I wrote it. However, I have no idea what it referred to.
